Deburring 3-Fold Company Anniversary at EUROGUSS 2020
At EUROGUSS 2020 in Nuremberg, numerous companies presented innovative technologies and products all around the die casting industry. Also Aulbach Automation GmbH abk Pressenbau presented a novelty and took the trade fair as an occasion for an anniversary event as well.
From the mold to the tool to the press: At EUROGUSS 2020 Lisa Aulbach-Heinecke, Managing Director at abk Pressenbau, announced 3 company anniversaries at once. 40 years Krug Gruppe Formenbau Krug GmbH, 20 years Aulbach Entgratungstechnik GmbH and 10 years Aulbach Automation GmbH abk Pressenbau gave reason for celebration. The reason for the common festivity is the close cooperation of the companies, which offer all from one source with bundled competencies. Krug Gruppe Formenbau Krug GmbH has specialised in professional solutions in the areas of mold design and plastics engineering. Aulbach Entgratungstechnik GmbH is a global manufacturer of deburring tools in the area of casting deburring, whose competencies range from design and development to production. The youngest company is Aulbach Automation GmbH abk Pressenbau, a specialist in the field of deburring automation. It has grown to 45 employees and has already built over 250 deburring presses. Mexico and the USA, which are two of the most important markets for the company, are among the countries participating in the annual turnover of approx. 10 million Euro.
New Hybrid Drive Presented
During the celebrations Aulbach-Heinecke also presented a machine with ABK hybrid drive. Especially in noisy foundries this drive is characterized by a high noise emission and enables an energy saving of 25 % thanks to energy efficiency technology. Another advantage of the new technology is that the hydraulic medium remains cool, which leads to additional energy savings with regard to cooling water connections. In addition, the elimination of hydraulic orifices ensures longer service life in the machine. "For us, this innovation is a huge step in the right direction and I think our customers will benefit from it in the future," says Aulbach-Heinecke.
Investment in New Technologies
Through a partnership with WANZKE Umformtechnologie GmbH abk Pressenbau extends its product portfolio by stamping and forming technology. This is intended to make the company even more independent of other industries in the future. "While our hydraulic presses are mainly used in foundries so far, the sheet metal forming lines of Wanzke are used in many other industries. Here hydraulic presses form the ideal intersection", explains Aulbach-Heinecke. The final handshake to take over the product portfolio of Wanzke Umformtechnologie took place at the trade fair in Nuremberg.
