International Trade Fairs Big Names and Technology Leaders at Metalex 2019
With great interest in the German High Tech in Metal Working sector event, top German companies and technology leader will be represented at the largest metal-working trade fair at METALEX in Bangkok.
More than 30 companies have already confirmed their participation in the industry event from 20 to 23 November. Participants include Chiron-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, Index-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, E. Zoller GmbH & Co. KG, Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH, Grob-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, Gühring KG and Mapal Fabrik für Präzisionswerkzeuge Dr. Kress KG, as they are convinced of the trade fair and market conditions.
For Andrew Parkin, Chief Representative Asia of Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH, the development potential in Southeast Asia is beyond question: "Thailand and Southeast Asia are often underestimated in terms of their market potential. However, we have already recognized the current and future potential. The market situation for us is currently stable." The market opportunities are reason enough for Metalex, an integral part of the trade fair calendar of E. Zoller GmbH & Co. KG: "The Thai and Southeast Asian market has enormous development potential for us. Not without reason has Germany now also become a partner country of Metalex in Bangkok and supports German companies from the metal processing sector," reports Atepat Tungkatacha, Director Zoller Thailand Co., Ltd.

The joint participation offers both market experts and newcomers ideal opportunities to gain a foothold in the Southeast Asian market. In addition to an attractive placement of a joint stand, interpreter service and German-speaking service personnel, a matchmaking service ensures high-quality business contacts and long-term trade fair success. Thanks to the participation of the partner countries, the German presence is further expanded with political support at the highest local level.
Thailand's Automobile Industry as a Key Market
Roland Merz, Sales Manager for Asia at Chiron Werke GmbH & Co. KG, is convinced of Thailand's role as a key market: "After a phase of stronger activities in other regions, our participation in this year's trade fair will once again increase our interest in Southeast Asia. Thailand is regarded here as a pioneer in automobile production. Other Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam are also moving into focus for the international supplier industry. At Metalex 2019, we are expecting visitors from automotive suppliers to our stand. At the same time, we are looking forward to welcoming interested parties from the aerospace and medical technology industries as well as employees from university laboratories".
Andreas Hafner, Senior Area Sales Manager Cutting Tools at CeramTec GmbH, also sees participation at Metalex as a positive factor for strengthening market presence and increasing sales: "The economy in the ASEAN countries and especially in Thailand has stabilised, so we expect good development in the long term. Growth impulses are coming from exports; investment activity in Thailand will also increase faster thanks to a program for the targeted promotion of ten industrial clusters with great export potential. We see very good market potential in the ASEAN region, especially in Thailand, as all major automobile manufacturers and their suppliers produce locally here and there is also a very good infrastructure.
