Castings as Complex Components focused at Slovenian Foundry Meeting

Recently, delegates from more than 27 countries attended the World Foundry Organization (WFO) Technical Forum and 59th IFC Portoroz. The event took place from 18 to 20 September 2019 in Portoroz, Slovenia, under the motto "Castings as complex components".

Organized by the Slovenian Foundrymen Society, the event attracted over 400 attendees who took part in three days of business meetings, social events and technical conference presentations in the picturesque setting of Portoroz, on the Slovenian coastline. The WFO also held an Executive Board meeting and its annual general meeting of its member associations, the WFO General Assembly, during the event.

Mark Fenyes, the WFO President and Chairman of Omega Sinto Foundry Machinery Ltd., welcomed the delegates by stating: “The WFO is delighted to be able to bring so many people together from around the world to discuss topical matters to enable the industry to continue to develop technology that places us at the forefront of innovative solutions for our customers. The WFO Technical Forum, part of the WFO portfolio of services that enable our member associations, is an important along with companies and individuals in their countries, to share best practice and expand their the competence in our industry. We thank the Slovenian Foundrymen Society, especially the President Mirjam Jan Blasic MSc, for their fabulous efforts to ensure the success of this year’s event.”
