3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Concept Laser and GE Build 3D Campus
GE's subsidiary Concept Laser is expanding and planning a new location. The company intends to combine research, development and production in the "3D Campus".

According to a joint press release, GE and Concept Lasers are investing around € 100 million in a new location. The groundbreaking ceremony for the "3D-Campus" in Lichtenfels, Upper Franconia, is to take place in late 2017. Research and development, production, service and logistics will work under one roof on an area of around 35,000 m2.
The new premises are to be completed at the beginning of 2019 and offer space for just under 700 workplaces. Following the acquisition of Concept Laser and Arcam, GE has invested more than $ 1.5 billion (€ 1.37 billion) in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies.
