Gefertec presents the new machine version of its ARC 405 and the process head ARC QM Head at the EMO Hannover. Integrated into it is a melt pool control for quality assurance with which the welding process can be monitored, recorded and documented. Users can call up all process parameters as well as a video image. With this quality control, Gefertec wants to demonstrate the stability of the entire production process.

The process head is integrated into a new machine version of the ARC405, which is expected to be available from March 2020 with the support of minority shareholder EMAG. It will already be exhibited at EMO Hannover 2019, in Hall 9, Stand K03. Another advantage of the cooperation between Gefertec and EMAG is the possibility of series production. This will enable Gefertec to meet the increased demand for its ARC machines and guarantee shorter delivery times.

Customers and partners already using the new process will also be represented at the EMO stand. For example, Deutsche Bahn AG, together with Rolf Lenk, manufactured the wheelset bearing cap as a high-priority spare part for a freight locomotive on a Gefertec machine. This axlebox bearing cap has now been qualified for use.
