The sustainable treatment of polluted air is a major challenge for all players in the die casting industry. Foundries without exhaust air filters have a negative impact on the environment. High levels of smoke are generated in the production hall. To replace this exhaust air with fresh outside air, an energy-intensive air exchange has to take place, which releases large amounts of CO2. More and more companies are taking a close look at the CO2 balance of the entire supply chain and are consciously selecting green foundries for their production. KMA's environmental engineers have been developing systems for sustainable exhaust air purification in foundries for over 30 years. Since their market launch, more than 2,000 systems have been installed in the die casting industry worldwide. As an expert for exhaust air purification on die casting machines, KMA offers an energetically optimized system which saves more than 80 % CO2 compared to exhaust air operation.
