New Core Shop Inorganic Core Making Equipment Collaboration

In search of a technology upgrade for its coring process, the Linamar Light Métal Group will again partner with Mingzhi Technology to start up their first Inorganic core shop in the EU zone.

Following a positive experience with a number of cold box core machines installed in various plants of the Linamar Light Métal Group such as in Mexico, France, Bulgaria and India, and seeking a technology upgrade for their coring process, Linamar Light Métal Group will again partner with Mingzhi Technology to start up their first Inorganic core shop in the EU zone. The project scope includes an MLD60 Inorganic machine and a sand preparation plant with three 60L machines, designed for current and future core making equipment. The installation is planned during the month of August 2020 and SOP in October 2020.
Linamar Light Métal Group is a technical specialist in the design and manufacture of aluminum cylinder heads in the automotive industry. This new core shop will be used to produce aluminum cores for cylinder head castings on behalf of one of their key European automotive customers. Mingzhi Technology has two manufacturing facilities (Suzhou, China and Leipzig, Germany) and about 800 employees with an annual turnover of roughly 100 million euros.
