The success of the Swiss light metal foundry is partly due to the long and broad experience of the company with its unique and innovative solutions, but also to the continuous investments in research, infrastructure and quality management etc. Its automated systems and processes make DGS Druckguss Systeme AG one of the most competitive companies and several automotive manufacturers choose DGS as their preferred supplier for key components and systems.

Comptech will equip DGS Druckguss Systeme AG with all necessary tools to start the production of rheocasting. With this work package Comptech supports the installation, the technology and also provides the knowledge about the process. For example, DGS can get help with simulations, tool design and alloy considerations and selection. The goal is to improve the launch of new products.

At the time of the purchase, Comptech offered a complete solution where the machine (the slurrymaker), an ABB robot and a custom-built interchangeable platform are delivered to DGS. This in order to be able to produce other alloys with better properties, which are only some of the advantages of rheocasting.
