247Tailorsteel strengthens its production capabilities in Germany by moving their production site from Bremen to Oyten. The new location is to be equipped with seven additional laser cutting machines and four bending benches.
The Dutch company 247Tailorsteel, which specializes in laser-cut sheet metal, edging parts and tailor-made tubes, has moved its location in Germany from Bremen to Oyten in Lower Saxony. Owner of 247Tailorsteel-Group, Carel van Sorgen, commenting on the development: "About one year after we laid the foundation stone, production in Oyten is running at full speed and we are already planning the next expansion measures".
With the new 6,000-m2-hall, the metalworking specialist has more than tripled their production capacity in Germany. A tour of the new production halls with the management and invited guests as well as two presentations held by Prof. Dr. Markus G. Schwering from the Münster University of Applied Sciences and Dr.-Ing. Thomas Gartzen from the GF European 4.0 Transformation Center in Aachen completed the official opening on 20 September.
In Oyten, 247Tailorsteel installed eight laser cutting systems. Three of the machines were taken over by the company, five were newly installed. Two more are scheduled to go into operation this year. The same applies to the bending benches: While only laser cutting systems were available at the previous location in Bremen, 247Tailorsteel wants to expand its range of products by purchasing four new bending benches.
The Oyten plants are currently operated by 55 employees. However, there are already plans to expand the hall in order to further increase production capacity. In the coming years, the company plans to open further sites in Germany and Europe. These expansion plans also include the search for qualified personnel throughout Germany and Europe.
