Automotive New Production Hall for Switzerland's Largest Casting Cell
DGS Druckguss Systeme AG, an internationally operating specialist for aluminium and magnesium die casting, has opened a new production hall in Switzerland. In the new hall, capacities for large components are to be created.
On February 20th, 2020 DGS Druckguss Systeme AG opened a new production hall in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The opening ceremony was attended by politicians, building and licensing authorities, industrial partners, neighbours, the company's employees and the Board of Directors.
According to the Swiss news site "Tagblatt", the 4,000 sqm hall accommodates the largest casting cell in Switzerland. Capacities for large components such as unit frames, battery or structural castings, which can also be used in electric vehicles, are to be created here. "Automotive and supplier industry are in the middle of a storm", quotes "Tagblatt" Walter Locher, president of the administration of DGS Druckguss Systeme AG. Against this background, the news site is talking about a forward strategy.
According to a statement by DGS Druckguss Systeme AG, the company demonstrates a strong commitment to Switzerland as a workplace thanks to its entrepreneurial ownership structure.
