It is understandable that protective overalls, which have to withstand high temperatures, are needed here. In addition, new protective suits should provide additional frontal protection for foundry workers.

As the manufacturer Tusker Industrial Safety reports, it was possible to produce special protective caps made of chrome leather that contained an additional front panel. This gave the front panel double thickness from the high temperatures in the foundry environment. They also added additional velcro straps on the back of the protective caps to ensure that the garment had increased tensity to the thigh.

"We needed a garment that could give added protection and we couldn’t find an off the shelf solution. Tusker designed this garment for us, which is exactly what we needed. We’re really happy with the end result.", says Sharon Banyard from Hadleigh Castings.
